The daily exercise
Four sparks. Five minutes. You're in.
Each day starts with a short warm-up. Finish three community plots, then create a fresh one for tomorrow's writers.
Read a plot from the community and write how it ends.
Do it again with a second plot.
One more. Three plots finished.
Now write the start of your own plot. It enters the pool for tomorrow.
That's it. Your streak's safe for the day.
Then what?
Pick up a story. Write the next section.
Stories grow from plots. You write a section, commit it, and wait for a stranger to continue. No edits, no rewrites. Just forward.
Turn-based
You write, then someone else does. You can't write two sections in a row on the same story. The surprise is the point.
No edits after commit
What you write stays. This isn't about perfection. It removes the temptation to endlessly revise.
Dormant after a week
If nobody continues a story for seven days, the last writer can keep going. No waiting around forever.
Streaks
Show up. Keep the pen warm.
Show up each day. Finish a plot or write a section. A small ritual that compounds.
Show up, any way
Finish a plot or write a section. Either one ticks the streak up. Miss a day and it resets. Simple as that.
Everyone gets a cheat day
Life happens. Each week you get one free pass. Miss a single day and your streak survives. Miss two and it resets.
Wear it on your name
Your streak earns you an ink splat next to your username. The longer the streak, the bigger the splat. Other writers will see it on every section you write.
