Plot of the week

A new little thing, starting next Monday: every week, we all meet up around one plot.

Here's how it goes. Monday morning, one of your plots goes up on Home and on the Plots page. For the next seven days, everyone reads the same opening and writes the rest. We read each other's, leave reactions, hang out in the chat under the prompt. Same room for a week.

You write with strangers here. This is a chance to actually meet them. One opening, many different plots, all on the same page.

I'm not making these up. They come from the plots that you write. The shortest, strangest, most specific ones are the ones I keep saving. So if you've been holding onto a prompt you'd love to see written a hundred different ways: please drop it in. You might find yourself hosting next week.

What if my plot's been written a few times already?

Don't worry about it. Featured weeks start clean. Even if other writers have already taken a swing at your opening, the week it gets featured starts fresh, so everyone walks in at the same time. Less pressure, more campfire.
